Notes
The decision to call for publication in this dossier was due to the fact that 2020 was not just any year. We are witnessing for the first time a global quarantine in a hyper-connected world, where there were no free spaces from the effects of the great pandemic caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus. For these reasons it was necessary to create a space for reflection on the different situations and problems encountered in this context. The Social, Preventive and Compulsory Isolation (ASPO) and, later, the Social, Preventive and Compulsory Distancing (DISPO) altered the daily life of each one of us. In some cases, it meant not seeing friends and family, in others living longer and in limited spaces as we had not been used to before.
In this context, archaeological practice was modified to a significant degree for all of us who are part of the academic community. Far from keeping an eye on absences and difficulties, archeology professionals provide reflective tools to our work, attentive to the medium and long-term processes that we are going through. In this way, we were able to overcome this situation by organizing our daily activities of research, communication, education, management and impact studies.
