The Council of Virginia Archaeologists includes a Statement of Ethics and Standards of Performance in Articles IV and V of their bylaws. The Statement of Ethics in organized into four sections that outline members' responsibilities to: Archaeological Resources, the Public, Peers, and Employers and Clients. The Standards of Performance include six sections that outline guidelines for professional conduct.
