The Achaeological Society of Virginia provides a Code of Ethics and Standards of Performance on its website. The Standards are organized into six sections outlining appropriate research conduct, and the Code of Ethics is organized into three areas of responsibility: the member and the archaeological resource base, the member and the public, and the member and his/her peers.
