ASOR provides a Policy on Professional Conduct that outline professional and ethical standards for its membership. The Policy outlines four areas of ethical responsibility: 1) Education and Training; 2) Stewardship; 3) Discovery; and 4) Dissemination of Knowledge, which also includes policy guidelines for Programs and Publications regarding artifacts that lack provenance or have moved through illicit channels of trade.
