The Association of Consulting Archaeologists is an association of individuals professionally engaged in the protection, preservation and professional management of historic resources in the Province of Alberta. 

The objectives of the ACA include:
a)    the promotion of the preservation and study of archaeological heritage resources;
b)    the establishment and maintenance of professionalism among consulting archaeologists;
c)    the promotion of information distribution of an archaeological nature to the public;
d)    the provision of a forum to allow the expression of concern among practising archaeologists;
e)    the promotion and assistance to other organizations involved in cultural resource management (CRM).

​The ACA meets these objectives through regular communication among its members and Alberta Culture & Tourism, functioning through its elected Executive.
